PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scion cultivation method enabling scions to root and be cultivated with a simple method without using a seedbed in which soil is put. SOLUTION: This scion cultivation method comprises wrapping at least rooting parts of scions 2 with a biodegradable sheet member 1 having water retainability and letting roots pass through. When preserving the scions 2, the scions wrapped with the sheet member 1 are tended at a temperature of causing no rooting. When letting the scions 2 root, water is included in the sheet member 1 with which the scions 2 are wrapped and tended at a temperature of enabling rooting. When raising the scions, soil cultivation or/and hydroponics is(are) done leaving the scions 2 wrapped with the sheet member 1.
