The invention relates to a column of a plastic box (100) for holding and transporting fruit and vegetable products, which facilitates and promotes the connection between the boxes, the column (400) being provided at each corner of the box (100) and being configured in a hollow tubular shape, wherein the column has, at the upper end thereof, an upper flaring (410) and, at the lower end thereof, a lower protrusion (420), characterised in that a portion of the outer face of the column (400) comprises vertical ribs (430) in the form of vertical, parallel, straight bands that protrude from the surface.
