The pillar that rests on the lower molars allows the mouth to be opened in a manner that is not disturbing to the patient； the practitioner is confident of the safety of the structures even in the case of an uncooperative patient or a young child. In this way, treatment is administered in a very short time and in a very effective manner. The instrument can be applied to all toothed and partially edentulous patients, and to all operations on the right- or left-hand maxillary and mandibular teeth. The tongue cover is covered by a mirror in order to facilitate the view of the lingual or palatal part of the teeth.
