The present invention relates to a promoter for drought stress-specific expression of a plant gene, a recombinant vector for drought stress tolerance gene expression of a plant comprising the same, and a plant cell and a plant which are transformed thereby, and accordingly, drought stress tolerance is enhanced. The present invention uses an OsDhn1 promoter which strongly induces the expression of an object gene under drought conditions and some fragments thereof, thereby being effectively used in a drought condition-specific gene expression system allowing a drought tolerance gene to be expressed only in situations where moisture is insufficient in the plant.본 발명은 식물 유전자의 건조 스트레스 특이적 발현용 프로모터, 이를 포함하는 식물의 건조 스트레스 내성 유전자 발현용 재조합 벡터 및 이에 의해 형질전환되어 건조 스트레스 내성이 증진된 식물세포 및 식물체에 관한 것이다.본 발명은 건조 상황 하에서 목적 유전자의 발현을 강하게 유도하는 OsDhn1프로모터 및 이의 일부 절편을 이용함으로써, 식물체 내에서 건조 저항성 유전자가 수분이 부족한 상황 하에서만 발현되도록 하는 건조상황 특이적 유전자 발현 시스템에 유용하게 이용될 수 있다.
