Compound ARRY-520 for use in the treatment of low [AAG] patients is provided. In another aspect, (a) assaying [AAG] of a patient-derived biological sample； (b) determining whether the sample is low [AAG]； and (c) if the patient is low [AAG] AAG], ARRY-520 is provided for use in treating cancer in a patient comprising administering to the patient a therapeutically effective amount of ARRY-520. In another aspect, (a) taking a biological sample from a patient； (b) assaying [AAG] of the biological sample； and (c) determining whether the sample is low [AAG]. And (d) when the patient is low [AAG], ARRY-520 is provided for use in treating a patient's cancer comprising administering to the patient a therapeutically effective amount of ARRY-520.
