PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compare pieces of information related to the iris pattern of an eye in a short time.SOLUTION: Characteristic curves S(1) to S(8) corresponding to eight annular areas A1 to A8 formed by dividing an image of an iris are generated. By arranging polarity of gradients of the characteristic curves, comparison target codes 1 to 8 are generated. Because the comparison target codes 1 to 8 are each a code comprising a combination of three values of +, -, and zero, the amount of data handled in comparison is reduced, accordingly comparison of the verification target codes can be performed in a short time.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】眼の虹彩パターンに関する情報同士の照合を短時間に行う。【解決手段】虹彩の画像を分割することにより形成された8つの環状領域A1~A8に応じた特性曲線S(1)~S(8)を生成する。そして、これらの特性曲線の傾きの極性を配列することにより、照合対象コード1~8をそれぞれ生成する。これらの照合対象コード1~8は、+、-及び零の三値の組み合わせからなるコードとなるため、照合の際にハンドリングするデータ量が少なくなり、結果的に照合対象コードの照合を短時間に行うことができる。【選択図】図1
