According to an embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus for processing a medical image comprises: a data acquisition unit acquiring a plurality of medical images showing an object including at least one target at each of different points of time； and an image processing unit generating a diagnosis image showing a degree of a change in the at least one target at the different points of time, based on the plurality of medical images. Thus, the apparatus may enable a user to easily observe or diagnose the illness of a patient.
