PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medicine slowly releasing body which carries a medicine and releases it when embedded in a living body, and particularly, which has a dynamic property close to that of an original bone when used as an artificial bone for a part where large loads are applied.
SOLUTION: The medicine slowly releasing body is formed of plastic, is composed of a substantial body and a surface layer formed on the surface of the body and having small diameter pores and large diameter pores, a part of the small diameter pores and the large diameter pores form open pores opened on the surface of the surface layer. The open pores includes small diameter open pores whose average open pore diameter is &le5 &mum and large diameter open pores whose average open pore diameter is 10 to 200 &mum. On the inner wall surface of the large diameter open pores, communicating holes which communicates the small diameter pores and the large diameter pores are formed to form a surface foam body, which carries the medicine on its surface layer.
