PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly perform radiation imaging and improve the quality of radiation images.SOLUTION: A radiation imaging apparatus includes: a sensor array arranged so that a plurality of sensors outputting signals corresponding to irradiated radiant rays form a plurality of rows and a plurality of columns a driving part driving the sensor array a detection part detecting radiant rays and a processing part processing the signals from the sensor array. The driving part drives the sensor array so as to repeatedly initialize the plurality of sensors for each row in sequence at least until the detection part detects that radiant rays are irradiated, and read out the signals corresponding to the quantity of electric charge accumulated after execution of the last initialization at each of the sensors from the plurality of sensors for each row in sequence.
