A hair care composition is provided imparting enhanced shine to hair. The composition comprisesa) from 0.1% to 10.0% by weight of the composition of a non-volatile polysiloxane fluidb) from 0.02% to 5.0% by weight of the composition of a surfactant mixture comprising a shining surfactant and a secondary surfactant, wherein the shining surfactant is a polyether siloxane copolymerc) from 0.003% to 0.6% by weight of the composition of a rheology modifier comprising an acrylic acid/Vinyl ester copolymer andd) a carrier suitable for the application to the hairwherein the viscosity of the composition is less than 7 Pa*s andwherein the composition is free of ethanol.Further a method is provided imparting shine to the hair the method comprising applying, preferably spraying, the composition as mentioned above to the hair, wherein the particle size of the composition is in the range of from 0.01 µm to 10µm, preferably in the range of from 0.1µm to 1µm, more preferred in the range of from 0.3µm to 0.8µm and the resulting film thickness on the hair is in the range of from about 100nm to about 500nm after drying.
