PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical type composting apparatus that can reduce volume in a short time with high efficiency.SOLUTION: According to the present invention, there is provided a computer-controlled vertical rotary type composting apparatus for converting organic wastes into aerobic fermented compost.The apparatus comprises a hopper 1 for receiving a workpiece in an input portion. The apparatus comprises a conveyor 2 having a cutting blade on its tip portion to cut out the workpiece from the hopper into a predetermined size, a screw conveyor 3 for swelling/dewatering the workpiece in a subsequent step, and a hopper scale 4 for weighing a discharged material to weigh and load the workpiece into a composting tank 14. Here, the composting tank is chain drive mechanisms 11, 12 of a vertical rotation type. Composted data sensors 21, 22 are disposed on the top, a stirring mechanism 18 and a fermentation promotion air insertion mechanism are disposed on the bottom to carry out aerobic fermentation.
