PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking assist device allowing a user to stably walk and providing a sense of stability to the user during rest.SOLUTION: The walking assist device includes: front-face support means that comes into contact with the chest, the abdominal region, the hypogastric region, or the like of a user and directly supports the front face of a trunk； and moving assist means that can move the walking assist device in the horizontal direction with respect to a floor surface or the ground. In walking and standing still, the walking assist device can move along with walking of the user, with the front face of the user's trunk supported.
