To provide a fishing spinning reel which can maintain a rotational property of a winding drive mechanism and prevent deterioration in durability in each part by providing a simple configuration which can suppress deformation in a cover which closes an opening of a body.SOLUTION: A fishing spinning reel of the present invention includes: a body 1B that stores a winding drive mechanism 50； a reel body 1A having a cover 1D that closes an opening of the body 1B； a rotor that is driven to rotate by a rotational operation of a handle shaft provided to the reel body； a spool around which a fishing line is wound； and a back stop device 20 that is operated by a rotational operation of a switching operation part for preventing a reverse rotation during a fishing line winding by a rotor.
