PURPOSE: A method for enhancing stress tolerance of plants by transformation of aNDPK2 gene and transgenic plants transformed by aNDPK2 gene are provided, thereby enhancing the tolerance of plants to various environment stresses. CONSTITUTION: A method for enhancing stress tolerance of plants comprises transforming plants with aNDPK2(Arabidopsis nucleoside diphosphate kinase 2) gene, wherein the aNDPK2 gene has the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1; the stress is selected from high temperature, salt damage, dryness, air pollution, pathogenic bacteria, wound, cold-weather damage, excess light condition, ozone, herbicide, excess UV exposure and osmotic shock. An expression vector pCambia 1300::NDPK2 for transforming plants contains the aDKPK2 gene of SEQ ID NO: 1 and 35S(CaMV35S) promoter of cauliflower mosaic virus.
