Provided herein are methods of treating or ameliorating primary sclerosing cholangitis and inflammatory bowel disease by administering to an individual in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of an Apical Sodium-dependent Bile Acid Transporter Inhibitor (ASBTI) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. Also provided are methods for treating or ameliorating primary sclerosing cholangitis comprising administering to an individual in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of ASBTI or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.En este documento se proporcionan métodos para tratar o mejorar la colangitis esclerosante primaria y la enfermedad inflamatoria intestinal mediante la administración a un individuo en necesidad del mismo, una cantidad terapéuticamente efectiva de un Inhibidor del Transportador Apical de Ácidos Biliares Dependiente de Sodio (ASBTI por sus siglas en inglés) o una sal farmacéuticamente aceptable del mismo. También se proporcionan métodos para tratar o mejorar la colangitis esclerosante primaria que comprenden administrar a un individuo en necesidad del mismo, una cantidad terapéuticamente efectiva de ASBTI o una sal farmacéuticamente aceptable del mismo.
