An X-ray image processing apparatus according to an embodiment includes an acquisition unit, an extraction unit, and an output unit. The acquisition unit acquires an X-ray image, which is an image of the subject taken by X-ray. The extraction unit acquires an X-ray image based on the correspondence information showing the correspondence between the X-ray image and the discrimination information indicating whether the object reflected in the X-ray image is located inside or outside the body of the subject. The discrimination information corresponding to is extracted. The output unit outputs output information based on the discrimination information extracted by the extraction unit.
