PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of joining a metal member with a resin member, allowing for suppression of degradation in a joint part after joining by an unreacted polar functional group.SOLUTION: There is provide the method of joining a metal member 1 having a polar functional group on the surface with a resin member 2 including an adhesive functional group attracted to the polar functional group. The method comprises the steps of: holding a joint part between the metal member 1 and the resin member 2 at a temperature higher than the melting temperature Tm(°C) of a resin constituting the resin member 1 to bond the metal member 1 to resin member 2; and holding the joint part at a temperature lower than the melting temperature Tm(°C) and higher than Tm-100(°C).
