The treatment couch (1) has headrests (2,3) and armrests (4,5) which are associated with the respective headrests. The positions of armrests are adjusted independent of corresponding headrests. The armrest (4) is provided with trapezoidal base surface (7) and armrest (5) is provided with a rectangular base surface (8).
