An independent claim is also included for preparing the high-caloric enteral tube feed, comprising (a) mixing the components of the feed into a mixture, and (b) heating the mixture obtained in the step (a) at 120-145[deg] C, where heating in the step (b) is carried out until a lethality value (F 0value) of 6-15 is achieved.
