The invention relates to biting arthropod repellent compositions comprising nootkatone. The application also relates to a method of repelling said biting arthropods by application of the nootkatone composition to a hard or soft surface, to a method of treating an arthropod infestation and to a method of reducing the transmission of a parasite or disease pathogen spread by a biting arthropod using the nootkatone composition.Linvention concerne des compositions répulsives pour arthropodes piqueurs comprenant du nootkatone. Linvention concerne également un procédé de répulsion desdits arthropodes piqueurs par application de la composition de nootkatone sur une surface dure ou molle, un procédé de traitement dune infestation par des arthropodes et un procédé de réduction de la transmission dun parasite ou dun agent pathogène de maladie par un arthropode piqueur à laide de la composition de nootkatone.
