PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide antibodies having higher affinity to mesothelin.SOLUTION: Mesothelin is a differentiation antigen present on the surface of ovarian cancers, mesotheliomas and several other types of human cancers. Because in normal tissues, mesothelin is present only on mesothelial cells, it represents a good target for antibody mediated delivery of cytotoxic agents. The present invention relates to anti-mesothelin antibodies including Fv molecules with high affinity particularly to mesothelin, and immunoconjugates employing them. Diagnostic and therapeutic methods using the antibodies are also described. The anti-mesothelin antibodies are well-suited for the diagnosis and treatment of cancers of the ovary, stomach, squamous cells, mesotheliomas and other malignant cells expressing mesothelin.【課題】メソセリンに対してより高い親和性の抗体を提供すること。【解決手段】メソセリンは、卵巣癌、中皮腫およびいくつかの他の型のヒト癌の表面上に存在する分化抗原である。正常な組織においては、メソセリンは、中皮細胞にのみ存在するので、メソセリンは、細胞傷害性薬剤の抗体媒介性送達のための良好な標的に相当する。本発明は、メソセリンに対して特に高い親和性を有するＦｖ分子を含む抗メソセリン抗体、およびその抗体を利用する免疫結合体に関する。また、この抗体を使用した診断方法および治療方法も記載される。この抗メソセリン抗体は、卵巣癌、胃癌、扁平上皮細胞癌、中皮腫およびメソセリンを発現する他の悪性細胞の診断および処置に好適である。【選択図】なし
