PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article treating apparatus capable of sterilizing or cleaning the whole of an article.SOLUTION: An article treating apparatus 2 includes: a supporting member 22 which supports a bag-shaped container 1 from below a guide plate 23 disposed on the supporting member 22, which supports the bag-shaped container from the side and transfer means 24 which slides the bag-shaped container on the supporting member 22 from a position prior to transfer to a post-transfer position, along the guide plate 23. The guide plate 23 is provided with a plurality of holes 23b, so that the contact portion C in contact with the guide plate when the bag-shaped container 1 positioned at the position prior to transfer can come in no contact with the guide plate when the bag-shaped container 1 is positioned at the post-transfer position, during deposition of the treatment medium.
