PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitter support stand capable of improving operability related to height adjustment of a transmitter and to provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus.SOLUTION: This transmitter support stand includes a support part, a column, and a locking pin. The support part supports a magnetic transmitter used for detecting a position of an ultrasonic probe and is provided with a through-hole. The column includes a plurality of engagement recessed portions continuously formed in the longitudinal direction and retains the support part at a prescribed height.
