PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical treatment instrument in which an operation rope and a connecting member of the medical treatment instrument are joined by means of a joining member using a joining method that improves mechanical strength characteristic of the operation rope without sacrificing the same due to thermal influence.
SOLUTION: The operation rope is made by twisting metal wires made of heavily drawn austenitic stainless steel wire. By paying attention to temperature and tensile breaking strength characteristic of the heavily processed austenitic stainless steel wire, the operation rope is joined by using a joining member having a melting temperature that agrees with a temperature that improves tensile breaking strength of the operation rope. In the medical treatment instrument, tensile breaking strength of the operation rope at a joint section is thus improved.
