The present invention relates to the field of vaccines directed against viruses of the HIV family. More particularly, it relates to an immunogenic compound comprising a peptide of the following formula (I) €ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ NH 2 - [Nt] y -P-W-N-X 1 -S- X 2 -S-N-X 3 -X 4 -X 5 -X 6 -X 7 -I-W-[Ct] z -COOH€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ€ƒ(I) which is covalently linked to a carrier protein consisting of a CRM197 protein. It also concerns a composition containing this immunogenic compound and the uses of these immunogenic compounds and compositions for preventing and/or treating a condition caused by the infection of an individual with a HIV virus.
