PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material which contains an Ni(Si, Ti) intermetallic compound, has abrasion resistance at high temperature, and has high dimensional accuracy (near net shape), and to provide a method for producing the material.SOLUTION: A sintered body has a main phase which contains nickel (Ni) of 75 at% to 85 at%, silicon (Si) of 8 at% to 13 at% and titanium (Ti) of 3 at% to 13 at%, and which has a crystal structure containing an Ni(Si,Ti) intermetallic compound that is an L1type.
