A rotary lawnmower (10) includes a shutter (40) for switching a location to which grass cut by the blade (14) is to be discharged, and a shutter operating mechanism (50) for operating the shutter. The shutter operating mechanism (50) has a first shaft (51), a second shaft (52), a first link arm (53), and a second link arm (54), a third link arm (55), and an operating lever (61). The first shaft (51) is positioned on the housing (11). The first link arm (53) is capable of swinging about the first shaft (51) and has the operating lever (61). The second shaft (52) is positioned adjacent to and parallel to the first shaft (51), is rotatably attached to the housing (11), and is linked to the shutter (40) via the third link arm (55). The second link arm (54) is attached to the second shaft (52) so that relative rotation is restricted, whereby the second link arm can swing about the second shaft (52), and is swing-driven by the first link arm (53).
