PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an observation device capable of preventing a light quantity of illumination light from being lost, and an endoscope including the observation device.SOLUTION: The observation device includes: an illumination unit 70 for applying illumination light to an observation object an imaging unit 90 for capturing an image of the observation object an observation body 100 retaining the illumination unit 70 and the imaging unit 90 and an adapter 110 demountably mounted on the observation body 100, and, by being mounted on the observation body 100, adjusting an observation visual field of the imaging unit 90.
