PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CT apparatus capable of performing a 2DBP computing processing at higher speed by making it possible to perform a 3DBP computing and a 2DBP computing by change-over with respect to an image processor for performing the 3DBP computing.

SOLUTION: In the X-ray CT apparatus 1 with a multi-detector, a back projection (2DBP) computing using data corresponding to a one-dimensional detector can be performed at a high speed by considering the illumination aperture angle (cone angle) of an X-ray with respect to the body axial direction, and switching a memory PM for storing back projection (3DBP) computing data and the distribution of the 3DBP computing unit when performing the processing of a plurality of 3DBP computing units which perform back projection (3DBP) computing where the X-ray detector is two-dimensionally handled in a column direction and a channel direction.
