An oropharyngeal airway device and method, including inserting a nasopharyngeal airway means in a collapsed configuration through one of the nares, nasal cavity and nasopharynx and into the pharynx to locate an expandable body in a collapsed configuration in the pharynx substantially around the glottis, epiglottis and laryngeal opening and expanding the nasopharyngeal airway means and the expandable body from the collapsed configuration to an expanded configuration to create the oropharyngeal airway through the nasopharyngeal airway means and expandable body.Linvention concerne un procédé et un dispositif pour canule oropharyngée, consistant à insérer un moyen canule nasopharyngée dans une configuration aplatie à travers lune des narines, la cavité nasale et le nasopharynx puis dans le pharynx afin dinstaller un corps déployable dans une configuration aplatie dans le pharynx essentiellement autour de la glotte, de lépiglotte et de louverture laryngée puis à déployer le moyen canule nasopharyngée et le corps déployable depuis une configuration aplatie vers une configuration déployée afin de créer la canule oropharyngée à travers le moyen canule nasopharyngée et le corps déployable.
