PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to easily align the pouch with the body side part to ensure good connection between the pouch and the body side part.SOLUTION: A colostomy appliance includes : a pouch (12) for receipt of waste； a pouch flange (14) connected to the pouch and having an opening (18) communicating with an interior of the pouch； and a body side flange (20) having an opening (24), a hydrocolloid layer (22) fixed to a body of a user around his/her colostomy, and a location projection (40) which is receivable in a recess in the pouch flange to align the opening of the pouch flange relative to the opening of the body side flange. A surface of the pouch flange which in use faces the body side flange includes an adhesive for adhering the pouch flange to the body side flange.
