Provided is a device for accumulating articles relating to absorptive articles. The device has: an endless chain moving in the circulation direction partition plates arranged side by side in the circulation direction and provided to the chain an insertion mechanism for inserting the articles into receiving spaces defined between the partition plates which are adjacent to each other in the circulation direction and a push-out mechanism for simultaneously pushing out the articles respectively having been inserted into a predetermined number of the receiving spaces, from the predetermined number of the receiving spaces. The partition plates are affixed at the roots thereof to the chain, and the size of the gap between the front ends of partition plates adjacent to each other in the circulation direction changes according to the bending deformation of the chain. The device has a restriction section for preventing the size of the gap from becoming smaller than a predetermined value.
