PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter allowing a user to appropriate handle by enhancing the effect of suppressing the fracture of a coupling position of a coupling structure.SOLUTION: The outer shaft 14 of the balloon catheter includes a proximal shaft 21 and a distal shaft 22. The distal end of the proximal shaft 21 is inserted into the base end side of the distal shaft 22. Joint parts 28 are formed in an overlapping region 27 of the shafts 21 and 22 to couple the shafts 21 and 22 with each other.
