A method for preparing a crystalline form of a 1-chloro-4- (β-D-glucopyranos-1-yl) -2- [4 - ((S) -tetrahydrofuran-3-yloxy) -benzyl] -benzene compound, comprising the following steps: (a) dissolving the compound in a mixture of at least two solvents to form a solution in which the first solvent is selected from the group of solvents consisting of toluene and tetrahydrofuran, and the second solvent is selected from solvent group consisting of methanol, ethanol, 1-propanol and 2-propanol； (b) storing the solution so that the crystalline form of the compound precipitates from the solution； (c) isolate the crystalline form of the compound from the solution.Un método para preparar una forma cristalina de un compuesto 1-cloro-4-(ß-D-glucopiranos-1-il)-2-[4-((S)- tetrahidrofuran-3-iloxi)-bencil]-benceno, que comprende las siguientes etapas: (a) disolver el compuesto en una mezcla de al menos dos disolventes para formar una disolución en la que el primer disolvente se selecciona del grupo de disolventes que consiste en tolueno y tetrahidrofurano, y el segundo disolvente se selecciona del grupo de disolventes que consiste en metanol, etanol, 1-propanol y 2-propanol； (b) almacenar la disolución para que precipite de la disolución la forma cristalina del compuesto； (c) aislar de la disolución la forma cristalina del compuesto.
