The injector tip comprises a continuous guide channel 7 for the intraocular lens (12), the channel having a cross-section with at least two outwardly curved top curves 26, 27, two outwardly curved lateral curves 24, 25 and an outwardly curved bottom curve 23. The lateral curve and a top curves are formed such that a length ratio between a vertical straight line 29 extending between two endpoints 24a, 24b or 25a, 25b of a lateral curve and a horizontal straight line 30 extending between a minimum of the top contour constituting a first end 26a, 27a of a top curve and a second end 26b, 27b of the top curve is between 0.7 and 0.95. In use the guide channel has a shaped wall 8 to turn the edges of the lens (12) towards its top side (16 fig. 10b).
