The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating metabolic disease containing a germinated soybean embryo extract or a fraction thereof, a method for preventing or treating metabolic disease including a step for injecting the composition into an individual other than human, a food composition for preventing or ameliorating metabolic disease containing the germinated soybean embryo extract or the fraction thereof, and a feed composition. The germinated soybean embryo extract is involved in lipid metabolism which increases the number of high-density lipoprotein (HDL), and removes unnecessary cholesterol in body, thereby being useful for preventing or treating metabolic disease caused by abnormal lipid metabolism.본 발명은 콩 발아배아 추출물 또는 이의 분획물을 포함하는 대사성 질환의 예방 또는 치료용 약학 조성물, 상기 조성물을 인간을 제외한 개체에 투여하는 단계를 포함하는 대사성 질환의 예방 또는 치료 방법, 콩 발아배아 추출물 또는 이의 분획물을 포함하는 대사성 질환의 예방 또는 개선용 식품 조성물, 및 사료 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 콩 발아배아 추출물은 HDL을 증가시키는 지질 대사에 관여함으로써 생체 내 불필요한 콜레스테롤을 제거하므로, 지질대사의 이상에 의해 발병하는 대사성 질환의 예방 또는 치료에 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
