The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for monitoring and potentially preventing the occurrence of lung cancer in a patient. The present invention includes an apparatus and method for determining a patient′s pre-disposition or propensity to acquire the lung cancer. Also included are an apparatus and method for warning an exposure to environmental agents and tacking action to reduce the exposure to environmental agents, to monitor for patient′s biomarkers and the environmental agents, and increasing patient screening for the occurrence of the lung cancer.
