The subject of the invention is a hydroxyapatite particle substituted with at least one carbonate ion: - corresponding to the formula: Ca (10-x) M x (PO 4) (6-y) (CO 3) y (OH) 2 wherein y is a number between 0.002 and 0.030, and - having a degree of crystallinity of between 25 and 59%. The invention also encompasses aggregates of such particles and compositions including such particles or aggregates, as well as the use of hydroxyapatite particles or aggregates of hydroxyapatite particles for phytosanitary applications. L'objet de l'invention est une particule d'hydroxyapatite substituée par au moins un ion carbonate : - répondant à la formule : Ca M (PO ) (CO ) (OH) dans laquelle y est un nombre compris entre 0,002 et 0,030, et - présentant un degré de cristallinité compris entre 25 et 59%. L'invention couvre aussi des agrégats de ces particules et des compositions incluant ces particules ou agrégats, ainsi que l'utilisation de particules d'hydroxyapatite ou d'agrégats de particules d'hydroxyapatite pour des applications phytosanitaires.
