Disclosed is a method for determining the capacity for psychological workload in one or more individuals by (a) determining the level of sympathetic tone in said individual(s) under resting conditions (α), (b) determining the level of sympathetic tone (β) in said individual(s) under a defined psychological workload (Wp), (c) determining the time (Δt) it takes said individual to revert from the sympathetic tone level β under the defined psychological workload Wp, to the sympathetic tone level α under resting conditions, and (d) expressing the capacity for psychological workload as a function of β, α and Δt. The method enables optimization of overall work performance for individuals as well as groups of individuals, and also enables optimization of composition of groups which are to performdemanding tasks. Also disclosed is a computer system, which implements the method of the invention.Linvention porte sur un procédé de détermination de la capacité dune charge de travail psychologique chez un ou plusieurs individus par des opérations consistant à : (a) déterminer le niveau de tonus sympathétique chez lesdits individus dans des conditions de repos (α) (b) déterminer le taux de tonus sympathétique (β) chez lesdits individus sous une charge de travail psychologique définie (Wp) (c) déterminer le temps (Δt) nécessaire audit individu pour revenir du taux de tonus sympathétique (β) dans la charge de travail psychologique définie (Wp), au taux de tonus sympathétique α, dans des conditions de repos et (d) exprimer la capacité dune charge de travail psychologique en fonction de β, α et Δt. Le procédé permet une optimisation des performances globales de travail pour des individus ainsi que des groupes dindividus, et permet également une optimisation dune composition de groupes qui doivent effectuer des tâches demandées. Linvention porte également sur un système informatique, qui met en œuvre le procédé de linvention.
