Disclosed herein is an active ingredient combination comprising a dihydrofuranone compound of formula (I) (spiromesifen) with abamectin at a ratio of 10:1 or 20:1. Said combinations are useful in controlling animal pests more particularly for controlling animal pests from the families of Aleyrodidae, Thripidae, Psyllidae and Agromyzidae, and also, more particularly, from the order of the Acari.
