The present invention relates generally to topical treatment of the eye, and more particularly to shaped controlled release ocular implant devices for delivering therapeutic agents to the eye, and methods of making and using such devices. Molded bilayer ocular implants contain a therapeutic agent for the treatment or prevention of ocular disorders. The implant includes a polymer layer and a silicone adhesive layer interspersed with the polymer layer interspersed with a therapeutic agent.
