PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base material for revascularization having a high mechanical strength withstanding a stress due to blood flow when implanted to a defective part in a blood vessel, and capable of regenerating the blood vessel with high efficiency by preventing vascular endothelium from thickening.SOLUTION: A base material for revascularization is composed of a laminate obtained by laminating at least two layers of fiber assembly layers in which fibers, composed of a bioabsorbable polymer, having an average fiber diameter of 0.05 to 10 &mum are assembled. The base material for revascularization has an apparent density of 200 kg/mor more, and a gap between the fiber assembly layers.
