An ophthalmological device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a vision fixation system, a data acquisition unit, an analysis unit, and a control unit. The vision fixation system projects vision fixation light into an eye of a subject. The data acquisition unit uses optical coherence tomography to scan the eye of the subject into which the vision fixation light is being projected, to acquire data. The analysis unit analyzes the data to identify the position of a prescribed region of the eye of the subject. The control unit controls the vision fixation system and/or the data acquisition unit on the basis of the positional relationship between the position of the prescribed region identified by the analysis unit, and a scanning range used by the data acquisition unit.
