An endoscopic probe which advances within a lumen having a central valve unit. The valve unit has a central bore defining a proximal end and a distal end, and at least one valve for controlling the introduction and withdrawal of fluid into the central bore. The probe further includes a sliding tubular sheath movably disposed inside the central valve unit, and a flexible sleeve, impermeable to the fluid and sealingly anchored to the central valve unit on both distal proximal ends. The sleeve is folded over to cover both the inside and outside of the sheath to sealingly envelop the sheath and contain the fluid, together with said valve unit, while allowing sliding of the sheath. A method for providing, assembling and operating the probe is also provided.La présente invention concerne une sonde endoscopique qui avance à l'intérieur d'une lumière ayant une unité de soupape centrale. L'unité de soupape possède un alésage central définissant une extrémité proximale et une extrémité distale, et au moins une soupape pour commander l'introduction et le retrait de fluide dans l'alésage central. La sonde comprend en outre une gaine tubulaire coulissante montée amovible à l'intérieur de l'unité de soupape centrale, et un manchon flexible, imperméable au fluide, et ancré de manière étanche à l'unité de soupape centrale sur les deux extrémités proximale et distale. Le manchon est replié pour recouvrir à la fois l'intérieur et l'extérieur de la gaine pour envelopper de manière étanche la gaine et contenir le fluide, conjointement à ladite unité de soupape, tout en leur permettant de glisser de la gaine. L'invention concerne également un procédé permettant de fournir, d'assembler et de faire fonctionner la sonde.
