PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide X-ray CT apparatus capable of effectively dissipating heat generated from a regenerative resistor, devised even from an aspect of safety, and having a radiation function simple in constitution and the heat dissipation system of the X-ray CT apparatus.
SOLUTION: The X-ray CT apparatus includes an X-ray tube 8 for irradiating a subject with X rays, a detector 9 for detecting X rays transmitted through a subject, a rotary body 5 for supporting the X-ray tube 8 and the detector 9, a motor 4 and a servo amplifier 6 both of which drive the rotary body 5 rotationally, and the regenerative resistor 7 for converting the regeneration energy produced by the motor 4 to heat energy. The regenerative resistor 7 is arranged in the opening provided at a holder stand 12 so as to come into contact with a floor surface F. Accordingly, the heat generated from the regenerative resistor 7 is transmitted to the floor surface F to be dissipated to the outside of a housing 3.
