The present invention relates to a Bacillus subtilis Y9 strain and an insect pest control composition using the same, which comprises a novel Bacillus subtilis strain producing a surfactin and having insecticidal activity, or an insect pest control composition comprising a culture thereof. According to the present invention, the Bacillus subtilis Y9 strain produces iso C_14[Leu]_7 surfactin, iso C_14[Val]_7 surfactin, and anteiso C_15[Leu]_7 surfactin, thereby providing an insect pest control composition.본 발명은 바실러스 서브틸리스 Y9 균주 및 이를 이용한 해충 방제용 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 설펙틴을 생산하고 살충활성을 가지는 신규한 바실러스 서브틸리스 균주 또는 그 배양액을 포함하는 해충 방제용 조성물을 포함한다.상기와 같은 본 발명에 따르면, 바실러스 서브틸리스 Y9 균주는 iso C14[Leu]7 설펙틴, iso C14[Val]7 설펙틴 및 anteiso C15[Leu]7 설펙틴을 생산함으로써, 방제효과가 우수한 친환경 해충 방제용 조성물을 제공하는 효과가 있다.
