[Problem] To further reveal the pathologic mechanism in an FOP patient, and to develop a novel treatment drug, a novel treatment method, a novel diagnosis method, etc., making use of the obtained finding. [Solution] The inventors have found that, in FOP, ectopic ossification, which occurs as a result of an inflammation due to an external injury, etc., is mediated through PAR1. The inventors have completed, from this finding, the present invention pertaining to a drug, etc., characterized by inhibiting ectopic ossification in FOP by blocking PAR1.Le problème décrit par la présente invention est de révéler le mécanisme pathologique chez un patient souffrant d'une fibrodysplasie ossifiante progressive, et développer un nouveau traitement, une nouvelle méthode de traitement, une nouvelle méthode de diagnostic, etc, au moyen des résultats obtenus. La solution selon l'invention porte sur la découverte par les inventeurs que, dans la fibrodysplasie ossifiante progressive, l'ossification ectopique, qui résulte d'une inflammation due à une blessure externe, etc. est médiée par PAR1. Cette découverte a mené les inventeurs à la présente invention qui concerne un médicament, etc. caractérisé en ce qu'il inhibe l'ossification ectopique de la fibrodysplasie ossifiante progressive en bloquant PAR1.【課題】FOP患者における病態メカニズムをより明らかにするとともに，得られた知見を活かした新たな治療薬や治療方法，診断方法等の開発。 【解決手段】発明者らは，FOPにおいて，外傷等による炎症をきっかけとして生じる異所性骨化が，PAR1を介して起こっているという新たな知見を見出した。発明者らはこの知見から，PAR1を阻害することにより，FOPの異所性骨化を抑制することを特徴とする薬剤等にかかる発明を完成させたものである。
