To minimize the imaging time while preventing image quality degradation when performing synchronous imaging in synchronism with the pulsation of the heart and in a nuclear magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) apparatus.

SOLUTION: The electrocardiographic waveform of a subject is detected. A value including at least ATdamong data gathering timing DTsin systole, data gathering time ATsin the systole, data gathering timing DTdin diastole and data gathering time ATdin the diastole is calculated ON the basis of a detected heart rate and nuclear magnetic resonance signals are measured from the subject using the calculated value including at least the ATd. Thus and imaging is performed while changing DT and AT in real time.
