PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability of reserve seedling trays in a transplanter in which the reserve seedling trays are position-changeably supported between a first state where they are disposed at a prescribed interval apart in the vertical direction, and a second state where they are disposed in a row in the longitudinal direction.SOLUTION: A transplanter includes operation tools 48 for artificially operating reserve seedling trays 31 and 32 between a first state A1 and a second state, and holding tools 49 for artificially operating the reserve seedling trays 31 and 32 into a holding state of holding the reserve seedling trays 31 and 32 in the first state A1 and the second state, and a release state of allowing the operation of the reserve seedling trays 31 and 32 into the first state A1 and the second state.
