PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide antibodies which inhibit an action of Interleukin 1&alpha；, which is an inflammatory cytokine which plays a role in a number of different functions including inflammation, immune response, tumor metastasis, and hematopoiesis, and inhibit diseases such as atherosclerosis.SOLUTION: The invention provides a composition containing a purified human IgG1 monoclonal antibody which specifically binds to human interleukin 1&alpha；, and a pharmacologically acceptable additive.
